When I thought I just couldn't keep going, one of my friends, who I affectionately call "My Dish Fairy" came over and helped me for an hour. Then she convinced me that a walk around the lake would be a big help. It was a gorgeous untypical fall day and the fresh air felt great helped boost my mood as did the conversation.
In my exercise class, the teacher did things a bit different and had us work together in partners. We had to hold hands while we balanced and had to keep each other up. It was a good metaphor for life, that when we are unbalanced, there is always someone there to help us from completely loosing our balance.
The next day, I thought that if I just started working in a small area of an obscure piece of the mess that I would eventually be able to tackle it all. As I stopped to take a break, my neighbor called to say that she had nothing to do: I invited her over for a chat. She ended up helping me clean the entire main floor of the house.
It was such a huge change that when my husband got home from work, he stopped at the front door, speechless! Finally he managed to choke out-"Did you do this by yourself?" Ever seen the video "These are the things you don't say to your wife"? I think that comment ranks up there with "That dress makes you look fat" don't you think?
But don't worry, it's okay; I was feeling very tender and forgiving and he is still breathing! After all, I am not prepared to make all the meals and do all the dishes, I really need him around!

LOL. That's funny because you're right, it wasn't the best comment because he was displaying his doubt but it's also funny because his doubt was founded, right? Hee hee.
